Gresham's School, situated in the small market town of Holt, in a tranquil part of North Norfolk, was founded in 1555 by Sir John Gresham Kt., and the endowments were placed by him under the Worshipful Company of Fishmongers.
The Preparatory School, of which the Headmaster is a member of IAPS, is quite separate from, although closely affiliated to, the Senior School, to which pupils normally proceed at 13+. The Preparatory School has its own extensive playing fields and excellent teaching facilities, which include specialist Art, Pottery, CDT, Home Economics and Computer rooms, Science Laboratories, a modern classroom block and Library and a Music School.
The Chapel, Sports Hall, Gymnasium, Squash Courts, Swimming Pool and astro pitches are shared with the Senior School.
